The company you can still call in year 12 of a 25-year warranty
Solar has a trust problem: high-pressure closers, inflated quotes, installers that vanish after the last inspection. We built the opposite.
Local since 2010
We have served the Valley from our Northridge office for over 15 years. The company that designs your system is the same one that answers the phone when you have a question five years from now.
Numbers, not pressure
"Zero pressure" is a phrase that shows up in our Google reviews verbatim. A consultant walks you through your usage, your roof, and the real math — and if solar is not a fit for your home, we tell you that too.
Everything handled end-to-end
Consultation, system design, permits, utility paperwork, installation, and monitoring — one team owns the whole project, so nothing falls between contractors.
We repair systems others abandon
Several big installers have gone bankrupt, leaving thousands of "orphaned" systems with no one to service them. We repair any solar system, no matter who installed it.
The tax credit ended. The math still works — differently.
The federal tax credit for purchased home solar ended December 31, 2025, and any company pretending otherwise is not being straight with you. What is still very much alive: lease and PPA agreements, where the provider claims the available incentives and passes them through to you as a lower rate — with $0 upfront and a monthly payment that is typically below your current utility bill.
Buying with cash still makes sense for some homes. When we sit down with you, we show both options side by side and let the numbers decide.
What homeowners say
“I've been saving over $120 a month since going solar with Collective Solar. The process was smooth and the team was incredibly professional from start to finish.”
“They made the whole experience easy. From the free quote to installation, everything went exactly as promised. My SCE bill went from $380 down to almost nothing.”
“Best decision we made for our home. Our rooftop system looks great and we're already seeing the savings. Collective Solar took care of everything — permits, installation, all of it.”

Frequently asked questions
How much does solar cost in the San Fernando Valley?
It depends on your usage and your roof, which is why we build a free custom design instead of quoting a flat price. Most homeowners choose a zero-down lease or PPA, so there is no upfront cost — you swap your utility bill for a lower solar payment. Our clients save up to 60% on their electricity bills.
Is solar still worth it now that the tax credit ended?
For cash purchases, the federal residential tax credit ended December 31, 2025. But lease and PPA agreements still pass solar incentives through as a lower monthly rate, and SCE and LADWP rates keep rising. For most Valley homeowners the monthly math still works — we will show you the exact numbers for your home before you decide anything.
How long does going solar take, and what is the process?
Four steps: a quick consultation, a custom system design with real numbers, permitting and utility paperwork, then installation. The rooftop work itself typically takes a day or two — most of the calendar time is city and utility approvals, and we manage those start to finish.
Can you fix a solar system you didn't install?
Yes. We repair and service any system, including orphaned systems whose original installer went out of business. Broken inverters, underproducing panels, monitoring that went dark — we diagnose and fix all of it.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Northridge and serve the San Fernando Valley — including Granada Hills, Encino, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, West Hills, Van Nuys, Burbank, and Glendale — plus residential and commercial projects across Los Angeles County.
