Collective Solar is a co-owned, Northridge-based solar company that has been installing, repairing, and servicing home solar across the San Fernando Valley since 2010. No call centers, no revolving door of sales reps — a local partnership that still answers its own phone.
Why we run it this way
Solar in Los Angeles has a trust problem, and it earned it. Homeowners have sat through high-pressure pitches, gotten quotes 15–20% above market, and watched national installers go bankrupt and leave their customers with systems nobody will touch. We have taken those calls. They shaped how we work.
So we built the company around a simple idea: show people the real numbers, answer the phone after the install, and never sell a system we would not put on our own roof.

Consultative, not pushy
A consultation with us is a walkthrough of your usage, your roof, and the math — lease, PPA, and purchase, side by side. "Zero pressure" appears in our Google reviews verbatim, and we intend to keep it that way.
Honest about fit
If your roof is heavily shaded or near the end of its life, we say so — roof first, solar second. Losing a sale today beats installing a system that disappoints you for 25 years.
End-to-end, one team
Design, permits, utility paperwork, installation, monitoring — we handle every step ourselves, so you are never stuck between contractors pointing at each other.
We repair any system
Most installers only service what they sold. We repair and service any solar system — including orphaned systems whose original installer went out of business.
What we hold ourselves to
- Straight answers. Real numbers over adjectives — including the awkward ones, like the residential tax credit ending in 2025.
- Local accountability. Our office is in Northridge. If something is wrong, you know where to find us — and we back our installations with a 25-year warranty.
- The long haul. A solar system is a 25-year relationship. We have been here since 2010, and we plan the work — and the company — accordingly.
